Now that is something amazing that you have done there.
I can hear the difference between the quality work that you have put forward and most of the people here, the way you play with the soundtrack is really something special, not something someone finds every day.

Extremely well done!
A strong 5; I hope to see you near the top of the charts this month for this track.

Thank you!

I like your choice to have a break here and there to re-vamp the bass kick
I can't really pick up anything that is wrong with the track that you have going on right now
Moving forward I would love to hear you change the base up into a different instrument, or a different track to keep the song fresh, and you play with the front chords, enough to keep the listener guessing

I liked it

very well done so far :3

Acidicfriend responds:

Thanks friend :)

You don't need to make a song that is 5 minuets long that is just the same loop again and again...
re-submit your chorus that you have as a loop that lasts 14 ish seconds.

Please

Unfortunately I’m at the point where I can’t go back and edit stuff but I really appreciate your feedback.

make a post in this thread on the forum and just wait for people to ask you

Thanks for that! ;]

Many of the most popular video games 8bits, do not use the same beat counter for 4 minuets
You also had a major conflict of tracks at 1.20 because of the deeper sounds that could have stood by themselves, but the over ruling techno 8bit track you had played actually managed to ruin the sound :(

Take a listen to this YouTube song.... g-jK3NSka1Y.... You don't need to fill an entire area with a sound to get an image of a theme across... You only need what is needed, past that you can add the little bit of a remix or a backdrop sound here and there
Also! You don't have to differ greatly from a song to make it completely your own
Even dropping to a C minor or climbing to an A minor is and will always make things sound different

i would love to hear what you... With no backgrounds... Would make yourself..... No remix... No easel... No CC... No fingerprint...

MeisterMach5 responds:

That's some good advice you give! I'll make sure to keep that in mind next time I try and do something like this.

I've already made a few original songs, and IMHO, they're pretty bad. The only reason I haven't scrapped them is because I might be able to build off of them later and improve them.

If you are inspired to make something great, find a song that you love and one that you can hum backwards, and make a digital sound of that song,
You will learn how different songs and tracks fit together, how you can alter sounds to make a sound you want that will sound just right, or even familiarize yourself with your player to a much deeper level

Beyond that is listen to people on how they do their transitions and syncing with different tracks!

Now, as for your song.... *listens*

Add more tracks to your baseline instead of a simple track that will play all the way through, you would not hold your breath for more then 20 seconds at a time, a background beat sound should not play for 20 seconds without alteration or being changed out for the same beat but with a different sound.
Liked the voice and the piano you went on, work on your background noises more like you're:
Bass line, and tempo line track... They are where you lack the most in realistically
(i know that as you change those the others will follow suit and you will strike sound wave gold

MMM! You figured out how doing a backwards track to make a transition!
keep up the good work :3

Jahn33 responds:

Thank you! This is most helpful!

Deep draining draws on the bass line at the beginning,
Liked how you introduced different tracks to the song and tried to keep the beat fresh
One thing that I think you would be interested in learning is replaying a track backwards to make it into a transition,
A good place to hear this kind of thing is on YouTube video... 2JxujsJ5reU....
It can turn a harsh transition into a soft cushion under the DJ's ass when going for that really popping in your face dance hard and party tunes all night

Also, in a transition you might also consider adding more static sounds that can play through larger transitions, while it should not detract from this sound is a transition sound, it lets people or at least an active light board to draw out, then drop the lights onto the floor
((a voice saying: now drop the sound)) ((or something))

Things to think about

I don't know what you were up to with the duel tracks at the beginning but there is major conflict in doing that

you might also greatly benifit in your song if you introduce more then a: ONE TWO THREE FOUR
maybe a: ONE two THREE FOUR, or a randomization of that varient would suit you because as it stands, if you try to maintain that kind of beat you are going for dance electric, and thus you are missing a few bass drops, and a pause or two.

liked the voice sync/playbacks that you were doing

Would have loved to hear the voice to be increased and then played with a little, maybe a little bit of distortion here and there, maybe a little bit of playback loop corruption, just to give it that aged desert feels that you seem to have gone after a little bit with the rest of the tune

Also the tune is different and altered enough that it never really repeats itself upfront, even though many of the notes are copies, this is very well done

you might think about re-introducing the voice back at around 2 minuets, and then as the voice fades out, you can give a little bit of a climax of the tune, then end with your original ending starting at about 2.40

Ethril responds:

Love the thoughts on that. Mine are of like. I think I'm going to need my synthesizer for this one and of course I'll put more voice in it. Thanks for listening~
E

i would be interisted to hear what would happen if every transition was smoothed out, but it definitely has the workings of something greater :3

When the impossible happens, challenge your assumptions and the correct answers will flow
